My Half Sister
For most of you do not know that I have a half sister named Veronica. She is my father's daughter from the past before he met my mother. For 27 years I was curious to see my half sister in picture but things have their own time to happen. I first met her during my last vacation in the Philippines last December 2010. All my life I never really expected to have met her, although I and the rest of my siblings were aware that we do have a half sister yet we never really do something to meet her.
The first photo is of me and Vee. Can you believe how pretty she is and how she got my father's features in the face, nose, eyes, mouth and even the height for she is very tall.
...... Our second meeting with our sister was during our father's death just two months ago. It is so sad that we gathered like that just because somebody had died and of all the people on Earth, it's our father that we lost.

Old And Yellowish
We just had our kitchen remodeled but the guy who did the cabinetry put back all the old and yellow switch plates. The new cabinets and countertop make the plates look even more older and ugly. I wonder if my husband even notice it? Because it bothers me everytime I go to the kitchen. In other rooms too, the walls are painted but the switch plates are old. Other switches are missing their plates and some have already been replaced like the ones in our bathroom sinks. Yes, we do have extra new plates that my husband bought at a home improvement store but I guess he hasn't found the time to replace all old switch plates in this house.

Clear Vision
I guess I know now what to do with my future. Although I am living the kind of life I used to dream but also I can't be staying home forever. I want to be in the medical field and that's final. I just thought that people who work in hospitals, dental offices or other medical related jobs wearing their medical uniforms look so freaking good! I so love the scrub suit they wear, they look professional, decent and duh I just admire them so much that is why I want to be one of those wearing medical uniforms everyday as I go to work. I am in America and I know nothing is impossible in America. Someday somehow I'll be able to do the job I want to do!

Here comes the Holiday and everybody as expected is busy filling up their wishlist. Others are already gone shopped some stuff to give out this Christmas. And to those that cannot come up with an idea of what to give to their brothers, husbands or boyfriends, why not take a look at mens titanium watches and see if there is anything that might interested the man of your life.
As for my husband, if he doesn't have a watch which he wears everyday to work, I would buy him one of these beautiful time pieces for Christmas. I feel very guilty for I forgot it was his birthday 12th of last month and didn't remember it until two weeks have passed. Poor guy.

Missing Him Everyday
Not a single day to pass by me without thinking about my father. I just missed him terribly. I missed those good times we had together. I missed his voice, I missed everything about him. Until now I can still shed a tear when I talk about him to my friends. Missing someone you cannot see anymore sucks. I know I was not a good daughter to him before but wasn't it part of growing?
I realized my close relationship to my father when my mind matured. It was when I was about to get wed when my father patiently assisted and went with me whenever I did my inquiry for stuff in relation to my wedding. When I meet my American boyfriends, he was with me all the time at the airport, he never leave me alone and most of all, he was there at my wedding walking with me in the aisle and handed me to my then fiance, Sandy.
Gooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Papa I miss you so much! I wonder if you knew I loved you eventhough I wasn't as vocal of my feelings towards you!

In Need Of A GPS
Honestly I am kind of jealous of a friend who now has gotten her driver license because she can now go to the grocery store without her husband and I can't. I have been practicing my driving for almost two years yet I don't feel like I don't trust myself still that is why I have not tried going for a road test. That can wait, I always say. I can drive to the highway and in most backroads/service roads with the help of my husband. He is my personal instructor and navigator. Without him I don't think I know where I am going except of course for roads I am familiar with.
Someday when I am able to get my DL, I may need a Garmin GPS so I can drive to the roads I am not so familiar to be driving around. I am pretty sure though I can very well go to the mall, grocery store and my kids' doctor's office without the help of a GPS.

Oh yeah, we have had our Black Friday shopping last Friday. Thanks to the husband for treating us out. Shopping is one of my favorite things to do so needless to say I couldn't say no to him when he asked me if I want to go out shop. We didn't go to Best Buy early because I know the crowd will be flooding the store, we have waited until ten in the morning but sad to say most of the electronics that were on sale were gone. Anyway, we still shopped a few things at Best Buy, we shopped for a 3D dvd player for our first born, a new 3-in-1 printer and two pairs of headphones. There quite a crowd in the store but thanks for barcode scanners, they made a faster checkout as usual. Oh well, almost all stores here in the United States are using barcode scanners.

Cheap Sunglasses
I love designer stuff, clothing, handbags, perfumes, coats, boats etc. even sunglasses but I know how to limit myself. I only go for branded stuff only if I can afford to buy them, I can also wear cheap sunglasses if they fit me good I wear them proudly. You know I always go for bargains. I would never pay on items in full price unless of course I really want it or I need it bad. But for normal occasion, I would buy things that are discounted or on sale so I can save myself some bucks. Same thing with my husband. Before I came here, he used to buy his stuff for full price but then he learned that clearance items are as good as the newly stocked items.

I'm Sick
Geeeeeez I am sick and I hate the fact that I might contaminate my baby with it. I came back from the Philippines two days ago with hoarse throat and sneezing. This is what I get from my short two-week stay in the hot humid PI. From there, I arrived in Texas with a cooler temperature that makes my body feel strange. I am coughing now and sneezing a lot this morning, sucks! It is okay if I am sick if I don't have a little one to take care of but hey my little Megan is here needing my help! Hope she won't get my sickness or I'll be damned mad.

Blowing A Cake
My three-year old girl doesn't seem to forget how she turned three this year. When she talks to people, she would tell them her age showing 3 little fingers and say I'm three following the words and "I blow my cake". She sure is fun when she does that. She somehow believes blowing cakes on birthdays are cute. Nah, looking forward to buying her a beautiful birthday cake in January. We will be celebrating it here in Texas with her dada so I better start thinking what kind or design I should get her for her birthday and make sure to have birthday cakes delivered on time to our house so to not to disappoint my toddler.

Invitations Pending
This visit in the Philippines right now is an emergency visit, this isn't planned at all. If not because of my father's death, I wouldn't be here. Back in Texas when I left, I got at least 3 invitations, a birthday party, a baby shower and Halloween party. I feel bad for not being able to attend all three invitations especially the baby shower because she is a close friend of mine. She sent me and other women she know baby shower invitations from invitationbox.com 2 weeks ahead to make sure everybody can adjust their work schedule just so they can attend the said event.
I guess I am one of those people that won't show up the party. Although it is going to be next week but I doubt I can attend for I would be very exhausted from the long trip and from the stressful nights of my father's vigil in Davao.

Discount Hard Drives
My husband and I are thinking of what to do with Jadyn's computer. It is infected with malware that caused the system to be so slow. I am not in favor of him buying our kid a new computer instead have the CPU or hard drive be fixed or wait a little longer until we can have the money to buy me a new computer and this old laptop I have will be given to her. I am looking at Discount Hard Drives and I see the prices are not so bad, I know depending on the memory size the price will vary also plus we need to think of the labor it costs if ever we will decide to just replace the hard drive.

Trying To Hide Her Situation
My cousin who fled to my grandmother's place sent me a message on FB saying hi to me. This is the girl I was talking in my previous post who is pregnant and is only a teenager. I asked how life is treating her and she didn't say much about it, she just said she is fine as if I didn't know what happen to her. If I have a chance I would try to convince her to chat and see what I can do.
If she doesn't help herself then there is nothing I can do about her situation. My only goal for her is for her to be better and have a brighter future. If she won't listen then it is not my problem anymore. Damn girl she is only thinking of today. What about tomorrow?

Sleeping Longer
It is a miracle for my little Pearl to be sleeping this late. She normally wakes up at 9 in the morning and demands for milk. Honestly, the world is so quiet without Megan here by my side. The only sound I can hear right now is from my Jadyn's computer and the airplane.
Speaking of the girl, she's awake now and oh so messy! She has a whole poopy diaper..no wonder she looks happy and smiling for she now relieved herself after 2 days of not defecating! What a better morning to start my day seeing my girls happy and healthy. Thank You, Lord for such wonderful kids and amazing family I have!

Frustrated Of The Bad News
I just learned recently that two of my cousins in the Philippines got impregnated out of wedlock. These girls are somewhat closed to me so when I heard that devastating news I can't help but felt frustrated as well. I can only imagine how disappointed their parents are especially Josephine who is only 17 years old. Her boyfriend is the same age as her who knows nothing in this world but hide in his mother's skirt. The other girl is 22 years old who has a live in partner whose only job is selling barbecue in the market.
Divie is her name went back to her parents' home in the province. I tried to convince her to try to chat so she can marry a foreigner so she can have a better life but then she refused doing it simply because she doesn't like foreigners at all. Dumb girl, she is not using her mind. She is only thinking of today, she doesn't want to be better and potentially help her family from poverty. So she went ahead and had unprotected sex.
What's going to happen with this two girls only time will tell. I just don't want to hear any of them having a hard life in the long run for I would really slap the truth in their face that if they would have married foreigners they could have a better and productive life.

Kmart Coupons
I have not tried shopping at Kmart ever. My husband never brought or drove me to Kmart local store, that is why. I've not done it online either but with the use of kmart coupons I found, I might try it this weekend to take advantage of saving some money of the already reduced items such as household items and children's clothing or school stuff. As early as now I am slowly collecting things to throw in my big box for my family in the Philippines, once I get this filled in full, I will send it right away.

Hardly Hit By Hurricane
I pity those who have been badly hit by hurricane Irene. I have seen the aftermath on t.v and thinking of the lives and property damages it caused to the people and business establishments is devastating. If you happen to own a business in the most affected areas of the hurricane and you feel like you deserve to be compensated of the damages, please go ask help from a raleigh business lawyer. Times like these, the only way for us to recover is to be strong, pick yourself up where you fell down and live again. And of course, ask God for help because without him, it will take time for you to accept that what you lost are just material things. I have seen the aftermath on t.v and thinking of the lives and property damages it caused to the people and business establishments is devastating. Shoes To Sell
My husband has decided to get rid of the shoes he has had in the past that are too small or aren't too comfortable for him. He has like over ten pairs of shoes ready to be donated and as I went through all of them I actually found 2 pairs that are gently used and a pair of never worn or new without tag black pair of shoes. I was gonna put it to the bags that are ready to go for donation but then I came to an idea of selling them. For sure many would be interested to buy those shoes because they are still in great like new condition plus the fact they are in brand names too. Ah I am thinking of putting them on craigslist today and hope that I could sell them right away for an extra money!

Stains On The Floor Mats
The car that we frequently use to drive is a bit older, it is a 2008 Ford Taurus SHO but still in good running condition although we have had some repairs done to it. The interior has some minor damage, scratches on the leather seats, stains on floor mats from all the liquids and milk we bring for our babies that spilled on to the floor mat. I think a new catch all floor mat is a good idea to make it look nicer and cleaner inside. I am going to have to open this idea to my husband and see what he is going to say about it.

Baby Fats
I am down to 108.5 from 120 pounds of my pregnancy weight. I got at least ten pounds to lose then I will be back to my normal weight. I shouldn't be bothered about it for I know the right time will come for that. I didn't gain much weight although the belly is showing some bulging in there. Baby fats is what I am talking about. Right now, diet pills aren't in my mind yet. I shall wait if I don't lose this extra pound naturally then I may consider taking diet pills in the future. It has only been a month since I gave birth you know. I should take it easy.

She'll Be 54 This Month
My mother's birthday is coming this August 19th. She will be 54 this year. I wish her the best, long life and good health as well even though she has health problems. I have sent her a small amount of money hoping that she would prepare something for her day. Birthdays in our family aren't that significant anymore, it doesn't require a big feast to call it a birthday, as long as the celebrant could offer some candles at church and thank God for another year of her life to live then it's good enough. I will just send her a birthday greeting through text just a simple gesture letting her know she is not forgotten.

Losing it

I am losing my mind, no wait; I lost it a long time ago. Well today I noticed an oil film that seems to cover our water. One of the girls had asked for a drink of water while I was catching up on the latest soaps from my directv satellite. I was about to give her the glass when I noticed the water looked funny and there was a coating of something floating on top of it. We have a filter on the faucet so this is either coming from the filter or something that has bypassed the filter. I was discussing it with my aunt and she mentioned a very pricey name brand filter. That may work for her wallet but not mine. I am so tempted to go back to the bottled water again. I hate to buy all of that plastic but it seems like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I do not want my kids, husband or pets being subjected to this nasty water. I will have to figure out something soon.

Sleep Deprived
I should be sleeping instead of tapping my computer. Promise, I did try to sleep earlier but I couldn't although my eyes really wanting to shut even just for a few minutes. How can I sleep if my baby girl continues to make sound that bothers me so much? I couldn't sleep if she wouldn't sleep. I don't know why that is? Now I am ready for bed, it is barely 8 pm and here I am feels like ready to hit the hay anytime soon. Gladly, I am done doing my online tasks. Arggggs I am so so sleep deprived and my only wish right now is to get a full 8 hours sleep even just for a night. Anyone wants to volunteer looking after my baby while I sleep?

So Much Respect For The Military
I have so much respect for military men or anybody serving in this country. I look at them as heroes and no other. They risk their own life only to have Americans have their freedom. If you are a military, having a family in the military please know that I salute you, soldier. Let us show our support to our American troops, let us buy military rings so they will know that we care. Or if you are a wife of a military, this could be the best gift you can buy for your better half when he comes home from war. I bet he would be very happy you are thinking so much of him.

Putting An Ad On Craigslist Is Easy
I placed at least 4 different advertisements on Craigslist already and one ad successfully sold. Yes, I did it. Although it took 3 weeks to sell those items but at least I sold it. That was my first time to do online selling without hassles. Putting an ad on Craigslist is not hard at all. You don't even need to log in to your account and make an advertisement. It is as easy as creating your profile to an online dating site in order to sell yourself haha.
Up for sale right now I have created is an ad for a microwave oven... I got at least 5 people showed interest to it but none seems so serious buying and picking it up in our house. There was this woman yesterday who said she'd come buy it but it was a "no show" that got me pissed for I was putting other people off just because of her. Hoping that I can sell it before this weekend is over! It will be another moolah that goes to the craigslist sale envelope I have in our safe. Saving it for the future you know?

I Thought...
... I was dealing with a fraudulent seller on Craigslist. But no I was wrong. I bought a D&B purse and wallet the other day on Craigslist and sent my payment right away as soon as she gave me her paypal address for I was really interested getting the items... they are too pretty to let them go by. Anyway, I paid them as what she was asking for and she promised that she was going to ship the items first thing in the morning.
The second day came which was yesterday and waited for her text with the tracking number but then there was no text until noontime and I texted her if she had shipped the items. She then said she will do it later in the afternoon as promised which I patiently waited... at 4 in the afternoon that much awaited text came in and thankfully she isn't a scammer who just want my money. Now the items are out for delivery hopefully I can receive them late today. I am excited!

She Got Her Cellphone Back
A message from my little sister on Facebook is what I got this morning telling me she got her cellphone back after two weeks of being pawned by a brother who brought misfortunes into our lives. He got me pissed because it's not his cellphone and to think that he deceived my sister, he said he borrowed it to text his girlfriend but then never returned it back instead pawned it somewhere.
That cellphone is what I bought for my little sister to text my family through chikka messenger. It saves me from buying international minute calls but then when I heard the bad news about it being pawned, I couldn't help but get very angry to this worthless brother of mine who's got no job.
Sister said mama got it back, thankfully. If she didn't do it, I would not call them and send them money again until they get the phone back. Call me cruel but sala sa usa, damay tanan ug ako maglagot! Hilabtanon bwisit mamrenda gamit dli ila!

Knives And Tools
It is nice to know that we got every tool we need including utility knives whenever we want to do something for the improvement of our house. My husband has got all his manly tools that make his job easier. If you go to our garage, you could see tools from the smallest to the biggest. He even got himself a paint sprayer machine, his own saw and most of all different types of knives that you could just reach whenever you need it depending the kind of job you are working on. We are not rich but at least we got things necessary in order to make certain jobs done.

Wow What A Blogging Day!
Today seems to be a busy day for blogging for me. The complete opposite of yesterday because I didn't make any paid posts, not at all. I am blessed with plenty of opportunities today so I am very thankful from the Heaven above. Surely it is not just me who is busy tapping on his her typad or keyboard right now? I bet most bloggers do, right?
Cheers to all of us who have been blessed with tasks! Thank God for the blessings. He never ceases to shower me/us with grace. More tasks to do, more moolah to expect in payday! It's good for I have a mission and that mission is getting my sister over here in the next couple of years. To get it started I need a fair amount of money hopefully I can save up some and do what I need to do!

When I was a teenager I had this obsession towards pop stars. My mother didn't give me much allowance when going to school so what I did is to save my money so I can buy posters and magazines of my idol every month. One publication once a month was enough for me to know the latest of my favorite bands. I also loved collecting posters of the solo artists as well as my favorite wrestler, Shawn Michael.
I was so crazy over this man that I wished I could buy all the wrestling posters of his but not having money to do so what hindered me at that time. Looking back at my old life, I could say I was so unfortunate to not have money whenever I need it. My life now is different, I can afford anything I want but I taught myself to be tight and only spend on things I really need because I know how hard it is to make a living especially these days when the economy is still so down.

Off For Two Weeks
My husband took two weeks off work and I am happy at the same time I am not thrilled. Sorry to say my husband, if you read this because... we are not going anywhere. I am stuck in the house, I need to go somewhere too but I can't insist if you like to stay at home and want to do your chores and reading instead. Who am I to force you or stop you of what you wish to do?
Besides, the everyday temperature is killing me! Just so freaking hot and I can't be outside longer than I wanted to. Honestly, I am getting bored here no matter how I try to entertain myself on the computer or the little chores inside the house. This is the most dreaded time of the year for it's when my homesickness strikes. I can't go outside, can't do my walking exercise.... hell I am stuck in the house!

More and more families are getting on the road with their motorhomes just so they can travel anywhere comfortably with small kids in tow. Camping out by the river or any RV park is so cool only if you have a good running vehicle like the motorhome or what they call Reacreational Vehicle. One of my online buddies and her family are about to go RVing again, this time they will go far North.
This time they are hoping that there'll be no vehicle breakdown on the road so to make their trip easier. Unlike last year, they encountered such terrible experience where sudden situation they don't expect to happen in the middle of nowhere. They had to call a motorhome repair service person to get to their location so they can move on and be there in their destination on time. That was scary, being stranded in an unfamiliar place is the dreaded thing that can ever happen to a whole family with kids.

As if being pregnant with your first child isn't scary enough, I knew I was going to have a hard time affording everything since I lost my job. Luckily for me, I came across a good High speed internet online offer in my area, and have since been on the job hunt, trying to find an appropriate position for me once I give birth. Obviously, the more flexible the position, the better suited it is for me but I'm really not trying to be picky at this point.
Whatever comes my way I'm willing to consider, so hopefully something good will show up sometime soon. In the meantime, I'm getting my house ready for baby and my husband is bringing in most of our income, so we're not going to go bankrupt anytime soon. It's only a matter of time before I find another position in accounting, so I'm not really worried about the job search as of now. I've got bigger and better things to hold my attention like baby names and decorating the nursery!

As if being pregnant with your first child isn't scary enough, I knew I was going to have a hard time affording everything since I lost my job. I Choose Not To Go
I just learned today that there will be a big Filipino event tomorrow in Grand Prairie called Philippine Republic Day celebration. I've been to this event once in my life and honestly, I loved my first experience being there, that was 4 years ago and never came back for I forgot what particular month the Filipinos celebrate it here in North Texas.
I know I so want to go but the only thing that hinder me is the heat. I have a bulging belly and to be out there in the scorching heat of the sun in my situation won't be fun at all so I better stay home and eat dukot. I'd rather be bored all day, all week than risking my health just to get Filipino foods in the said event. They Finally Asked
After not having any phone calls made to my family for almost five months, they finally asked why I am not calling them. They've waited that long before they asked me. They chatted me at first by using a neighbor's computer asking the question. Well, of course it was mama who talked and asked me that question and I couldn't be upfront with her that I don't feel like calling them. She thought that I would go one year without ringing them which I can probably do.
The reason why is that I know what they are gonna tell me, problems, worries and troubles and I don't want to be bothered with their nonsense. I am living a peaceful life here with my new family and a peace of mind is what I needed these days. I have my own business to mind, my baby, my husband and my pregnancy is all I care.
Almost five months I broke the silence I built between me and my family in the Philippines. I called them last night and gave my mother the xoom control number money transfer I did yesterday. She sounded happy, she's okay, the rest of the people in that house sound okay so I feel good after hanging the phone. Admittedly, it felt good after talking to them. WINK... gonna ring them again after June 6 for I heard my father will be coming home from Davao... I so want to talk to him for the longest time...

Deal On Vitamins
Jadyn is almost out of her Disney Princess multivitamin. Before she totally runs out of it, I make sure she has extra bottle reserved so she doesn't have to skip a dose. We only do grocery shopping once a week, that is every weekend. When I see something is about to be gone, I would buy some extra when we get to the grocery store. Last weekend, we got lucky for we got a deal on our girl's vitamins. Kroger was having a promotion, buy one get one free. Each bottle contains 80 gummies which normally cost $14.99, imagine the savings we got? I didn't expect that at all.

Done, At Last
I can now take a nap thank goodness for I am done with my online tasks that I so wanted to finish to be included for the cut off tomorrow. I hate it when I am being rushed doing these things for I can't think straight writing them. I am not one of those people that love the pressure of finishing off their work just so they can meet the deadline. What I want is to have plenty of time writing, that way I can make it better and search more of the products I am publishing. Today was different. I've only got a day to do it all together (I had to take a break from the computer for the hubby decided to do our weekend chore early).
I am done with them, at least for the ones I want to be done before the cut off. There are 3 left from other paid blogging site which will expire tomorrow, I guess ... but they can wait. I am too sleepy now, need to hit the bed and would just log in back again later this afternoon and get it all done before midnight. So ciao everyone. You all have a nice weekend!
