Old And Yellowish

We just had our kitchen remodeled but the guy who did the cabinetry put back all the old and yellow switch plates. The new cabinets and countertop make the plates look even more older and ugly. I wonder if my husband even notice it? Because it bothers me everytime I go to the kitchen. In other rooms too, the walls are painted but the switch plates are old. Other switches are missing their plates and some have already been replaced like the ones in our bathroom sinks. Yes, we do have extra new plates that my husband bought at a home improvement store but I guess he hasn't found the time to replace all old switch plates in this house.
