Not Ready For Summer Yet

We went out for a walk earlier this afternoon and I am glad for we were able to breathe some fresh air and got some sun. I brought with me my Jadyn and the dog on a leash. However, it was too hot that it's biting off my skin so I chose not to prolong our walk. We only did a couple of rounds in 3 three blocks then went home. It was just unbelievably hot, feels like Summer already.

Yes, I almost forgot that we are now entering April. That would only mean one thing that Summer is almost here. Yikes! The most dreaded season of the year is Summer, hotness here could reach up to 109 Fahrenheit. Imagine being outside in that temperature, would you be happy? I won't.

Basement Dehumidifier

I don't know if houses here in Texas have basements. Not that I know of uh uh! However, I have been to few houses that have basements, in Iowa for example most houses there have basements and I remember when I was there three years ago, my friend's parent inlaws used this basement dehumidifier for it was during Fall and mostly basements get moist in the ground. I am pretty sure of what they were using now that I see these humidifiers on the internet today. It may be three years since I've seen the thing but I still clearly remember it.

We had a quick stop today at Little Czech Bakery along I-35 on our way home for I had to relieve myself real bad. We had no plan of buying something inside after using the toilet but their products were just so tempting so we end up spending 15 bucks. No regret though for I got my peanut brittle which I was thinking early in our trip, wishing I could eat peanut brittle and never thought I could actually find it inside the specialty bakeshop.

It was our first time to stop by at this bakery and I tell you what, their bread is just heavenly delicious, we bought a tray of garlic cheese biscuits also that taste really great.

I wonder how my husband survive a day without anything in his stomach except coffee. Several times he went out to do some errands and lasted a day without eating food. It's his first day off and there he went to meet up with his buddy at Starbucks. After that he's gonna go get the registration sticker for his porsche and do other paper works with his other car too. He won't be home for a while for sure but the question is, how can he survive?

Because I, as a Filipina won't last a day not eating something. Even if I skip one meal, my world go crazy, I get headaches, I become cranky and easily get annoyed. In my husband's case, he doesn't get cranky at all instead if he forget that he hasn't eaten, he would just go on with his chores and would only eat one big meal at the end of the day. Tsk tsk tsk that doesn't work for me. I'm too sensitive when it comes to starving myself. I think I'm gonna die without food eh.

So fortunate of us to have lived in Edgecliff Village where we can safely walk along the paved roads when the weather is good. And just around the block is a small pond where we can see wild ducks swimming. Not only me loves going there so does my baby. She loves animals and the thought of her seeing ducks frequently makes her anxious to go outside.

What My Brother Needs

I chatted with my older brother last night and I thought it was cool. He doesn't know much about computers yet he managed to get online and was able to chat with me. He was going to ask a favor from me but I stopped him right away hinting me that he needs money and I don't have that for now. Gladly we have a huge backyard so she can run to contain her heart. She owns the backyard and for that I am happy because I have a safe place where Jadyn can just enjoy being a baby. If she is out there I don't have to worry of her getting hit by a car for our yard is secured with fences.

I am finding most of them on Facebook now and that feels good being reconnected with them. Crazy

Sometimes Texas weather can be confusing. It's very beautiful one day and next moment you know you are chilling. Three days we have had three different weather. Last Sunday, it was all gloomy, damp and the temperature was tolerable. Yesterday, was the complete opposite, all sunny, very nice temperature of 75 degrees and kind of windy, plus I had a window in the living room open to let the fresh air in. And today? You don't wanna know. I woke up this morning and the world was very dark, sky covered with really dark clouds and take note, our heater was running. Yes, it is cooler today enough to give you goosebumps. Sigh, weather jud!

Crazy

Food... Rice!

Jadyn just woke up and just finished her bottle of chocolate milk. She must be hungry because along with her milk I also brought some puto maya in the living room. As soon as she finished drinking all her chocolate milk she saw the puto maya and exclaimed, "food...rice!". That only indicates she wants to eat it and I am right. I gave her couple of teaspoons of my puto and not a single no no I got from her.

This morning was a complete trouble for me. We had to fight before I could slam the food in her mouth for she really didn't want to eat food. Blame it on to me though for I gave her some yogurt before rice... should be rice first and then yogurt. So she ended up eating her rice at almost 1 pm.

I can't seem to give a conclusion why I am doing this to myself knowing that I am very hungry here, haven't eaten my breakfast and lunch and ohhhhhhhh this is such a torture eh.

Fat servings of big hotdogs, layers and layers of delicious pizza toppings, tasty 4 pounder of steak s, glazed doughnuts, sushi, chocolacious recipies are just few of the foodies I am drooling right now. If you can call it "kahibangan" for continuing watching the show then it might be it. I have been blessed with so much opportunities this week. And for that I am very thankful because seldom I am showered with such blessings. I just finished doing all my online tasks for today which is so relieving. I am also happy to know that I don't have to think about sitting on my computer for the rest of the weekend. I am soooo tired always facing the computer you know?

Since our temperature has warmed up today, tomorrow and until Tuesday next week might as well do something outside so to get myself some sun and breathe some air. This is what I have been waiting for... to finally be able to go outside and take advantage of the beautiful weather. Of course I can only do that when I have nothing else to do online. Moreover, I'm all done with my tasks so tomorrow I may have to walk around the village with my baby on the jogger. Weeww I kind of excited for that! I have been to several grocery stores and I somehow noticed that one certain place I went to one time that it had the best receipt I have seen. I mean it was just an ordinary receipt we usually receive upon checking out you know? But what made that thing so different is that the store uses an epson receipt printer. How do I know that? Because he heard me complimenting at how clear the printing was and he told me exactly the name of the printer he was using. I have good memory and I am pretty sure the brand name he said to me even though it was a long time ago.

Smoke All Over

I screwed up in the kitchen just a while ago. I almost forgot I had a pan heated on the stove top and left there for couple minutes and the flame was on high. I was doing some blog posts and didn't wanna stop it unless I am done with my entries resulting to burning the pan so hot that it produced a lot of smoke. Thick and stinky burning smoke is what I am talking here that was suffocating. Good thing my husband was in the study so he was unaware of what was going on hehe...

If given a chance to have a complete home makeover, I would do it so to have a different style and design of the current set up we have in our living room. Although our sofa sets and other stuff are still kind of new, I would be more than willing to switch them to modern sofas for a change and to keep up to date of modern day living. Ah I don't know when is that going to happen, only in my dreams I can have a home makeover for I know it is going to cost u tons of money.

For me, it is not a good idea to spoil your kids of a lot of toys because time will come, they'll grow not appreciative of what their parents going to give them as they are used to having a lot of it already.

I'm Glad..It's Over

No wonder baby girl have no appetite eating her meal since yesterday because she isn't feeling well inside her stomach. She is constipated and it took her two long days to let it all out. I swear we did try feeding her as much as we can but she just kept refusing. I know the feeling and I don't blame her for that. The only thing that concerns me is she wasn't getting any food at all and for that she might get sick.

So tonight she finally relieved herself. It was a whole big p***p eh worth three days of not defecating. Right now she is eating veggies stir fry, rice and crackers. I know she's not gonna finish all her rice but I am happy she is eating a bit.
