Memorial Day Weekend Sale

Yeppeeyy it's gonna be a fun day for me and the baby tomorrow. Husband and I already agreed that we will be out looking for great deals. My balik-bayan box is almost full but somehow I have a feeling that I still need to buy more lotion for my relatives. Since Memorial Day is coming up, most of the stores have their store wide sale this weekend. It's gonna be a perfect time for me to finish up my box so I can seal it and get it ready to ship when the right time is here. I would only need a couple more body lotion and that dinnerware set at Walmart then I am good to go.

I plan of visiting the V.S and Bath and Body Works stores and see how they differ in prices. I don't plan of spending more than a hundred bucks though but take note, I don't plan of going home as early as two hours. If I could I would stay there for half a day. I want to take Jadyn in a play area just so she can get to play with kids in the mall.

The Prize After Having A Child

We went to a pool birthday party last weekend. It was such a perfect place to be during this time when the temperature is at its peak. So freaking hot now. We had so much fun especially the baby Jadyn for she got to see and play with other kids her age. The kids had a chance to wear their swimsuit and I thought they were amazing.

The mommies on the other hand, couldn't show off their bodies haha. Yes, I had my swimsuit on but I did not take my shirt off for I had my own personal reason. Although I don't have stretch marks in my belly yet I prefer not to take my shirt off. Other mommies had their reasons too. I know and I understand them. They don't want to show their stretch marks, I may sound blunt but it's true. Stretch marks for me are normal. It is the prize you have to endure forever for having such a precious child.

I have stretch marks too on both of my thighs although they aren't as visible as the other people but I somehow feel the need to apply some stretch marks creams. They say there is no cure for stretch marks. I shall see once I am able to buy this cream. I shall see after weeks of applying it if something happens. Oh I forgot, stretch marks don't only appear after having a child but it also appears when somebody who is extremely fat and loses weight. Filipinos who never tried finding their destiny outside the country think that when you live abroad, you are living life in beds and roses. No matter how or what the educational attainment a person has, if he or she has pea-sized brain then she is shallow.

Amazingly we went to the same schools from elementary 'till college. I just recently found her on facebook and believe me, it felt good when you found someone in your hometown and knowing that you know the person too well.

Anyway, the other day we chatted again for the second time and she asked me when I am gonna come home and told her that I should save up some money first for the tickets and allowance while I'm there. Can you believe what she said? "KADATO U". I was like HUH? I was in disbelief she said that, she sounded immature and childish.

Yes, I am living in America but that doesn't mean I AM RICH for I am not and I never felt that way although I am more accustomed to comfort and convenience that America has to offer and have all my LUHO being given to me by my husband. Yet I still consider myself as average, I don't have that much money to be considered RICH. I blog to earn money for my financial aid to my family back home, my husband busted his ass working trying to make ends meet. Because in America, if you don't work, you can't eat, you can't pay the bills/mortgage and worse you will find yourself homeless.

My reply to her statement was simply, how can you say that? How do you know that? I didn't know I am rich! I was pissed.

Luckily, she didn't reply to my last chat otherwise MALAT-AN SA INSULTO BAYHANA!

Summer Means A Lot Of Grilling And Weight Gain

You folks be ready to wear your bikini. It's summer time! Days are getting hotter every day. I can feel that now and it gives me headache at the end of the day if I stay too long in the sun. For some, summer is the most favorite season for them. It is the time perfect for the whole family to enjoy in the backyard or in the pool together and do the grilling. When we say grilling, it pertains to a lot of food. There is this beef patties, hamburger, corn, sausage, pork ribs, t-bone, steak etc. When foods like that are cooked, I assure you you will forget your diet. That is why there are diet pills available on the market for people to just take them whenever they want. I am certain there are different brands of diet pills out there promising that certain kinds are effective but very few of them truly works.

The Scar It Left Behind

Acne is such a horrible thing to have, let alone the trouble it cause to someone who has it but the scars it left behind. It creates so much damage on the face, neck and some in the back. I have seen people who endured acne scars and I truly feel sorry for them because once it's there it is always there. However, if they are keen enough to seek for acne scar removal treatment they could probably get rid of the scar forever. I wish they can at least get help from their long time dilemma for I know it somehow made them conscious of how they look. Luckily though acne is not in our family, even though we have dark skin but at least we are free from skin blemishes and acne or breakout.

And I Am Very Proud Of Her

Not only my baby made me happy but she also made me very proud of her today. Firstly, for two days now she is eating her meals very good. There's no fighting or resisting from her when I feed her and that makes me absolutely happy.

Secondly, she used the toilet for the first time in history. Can you believe that? My baby girl actually pooped in the toilet bowl using her small bowl that her dada bought a long time ago. By far, it was the greatest milestone she'd achieved. The story is this. I stucked a suppository in her bottom earlier to make her poop for it has been two days passed and she hasn't pooped. If I do that I normally put a diaper on afterwards but for some reason I didn't do it today.

As a result I found her pushing her waste out on the rag, good enough she hasn't pushed anything yet when I caught her doing that so I quickly brought her to the bathroom. She sat there for a while until she can no longer hold it and VOILA! It was a success.

She cried a bit though when the stool came out and just fell down into the bowl. She probably felt sorry to the waste that gone down the water lolz. I think she is ready to be potty trained, I hope we can do that again so we can totally get off her from wearing a diaper.

I was already informed by my husband last night that he had court first thing in the morning. As soon as he hit the bed, he went to dreamland right away. When I woke up this morning I didn't see him. He already left and it felt weird for I normally find him in the computer room reading his news upon getting up in the morning.

After court I actually expected him to come home to grab his work stuff and such but guess he brought them with him upon going to court for he did not drop by today. Then just minutes ago a text sent by him telling me that he is stuck and that he would be late for hours with all probability dealing with something at work.

Honestly, it struck me. While I am living a good life at home (although I am looking after the baby and doing some house chores) while he is out there chasing after bad guys, working hard to bring in money, I feel like I am of no help here at all. If only I can also help with our financial expenses then I wouldn't be wary right now.

I am one lucky gal to have found a man who looks a lot younger than his age. He may be 53 but he doesn't look like 53. If you say he looks like in the mid 40s then I am with you on that. Abby's First Birthday Pool Party

Abigail Annette, Annie and Tony's daughter has reached the biggest milestone of her life so far, she turned one year old yesterday, May 24 but the parents held her birthday party a day early at the pool in their apartment complex. I am glad we were invite for my baby was able to socialize with babies her age. It is crucial for her to mingle with other kids too so she'll learn how it is to be with other people too.

To Abby, always be happy and stay healthy. Keep smiling, be gorgeous and most of all always be a good girl to your parents especially to your mommy

I Hate Bank Of America!!!!!!

We just arrived home an hour ago from a long trip in San Antonio. We had a safe trip but I got really "bad trip" when I received that small card notice from Bank Of America telling me that I have been charged two(2) $35s the last couple of days. Very depressing! How easy for them to take my money away, that is worth 2 weeks of blogging and they took it like that in a snap of a finger.

The story is this, I overdrawn my bank account due to two different transactions I made online. The original balance was 49 and I went to Pillow Pets' website to order their products, I do online shopping a lot so I expected after the transaction they would send me a notification regarding my order but there was none after 24 hours of waiting. So I did order again the following day...and guess what? wa gyapon e-mail that is when I decided to call the customer service, the man said that I should just call them again by Monday to cancel the second order (t'was Friday).

Monday came, I forgot to call, I assumed both of the transactions didn't get through. I opened the Macy's website and found two items that were on sale so I went ahead and ordered them because I assumed I still have my 49 dollars in my account. As expected there was an e-mail afterwards. This crazy pillow pets company isn't doing the right thing for letting their customers hang in the dark.

4 days after, the crazy e-mails I have been waiting for finally came telling me that my items have been shipped. I was like, WHAT???? Patay, I didn't have enough balance in my account anymore (kay nag shop na baya kos Macy's) so I expected it to be overdrawn.

That was what happened, BOA charged me overdrawn fee. But the card I got in the mail says, I should transfer money within 5 business days to avoid the fee but they already did it the very next day I overspent.

I pray I can win over my argument once we visit the bank this Friday, I will fight for my right for I know I'm right. I transfered money three days after the incident happened but why the hell they took my money away???? Why??

Congratulations Dianne Seno Nagal!

I am so proud of my cousin Dianne Seno Nagal for finishing her degree in Nursing in Brokenshire College Davao, City. She is going to be the first in our family to venture in medical field as a nurse, hopefully when she gets to pass the licensure exam this December.

Just moments ago a window on my yahoo messenger suddenly popped up from someone I don't usually chat, her father telling me that my dear cousin will celebrate her graduation this coming May 18, 2010. Strange is the date isn't it? The story is they made it on that date due to some students haven't completed their cases including Dianne. Way to go dear! I pray for your success in life and pursue your dream as a nurse or if you wanna follow your cousin to be a chef, then go with it, I'll be right behind you supporting all the way!!! Whatever makes you happy, follow your heart for that will give you satisfaction to live your life as happy as it can be.

Strange is the date isn't it? The story is they made it on that date due to some students haven't completed their cases including Dianne. Way to go dear! Zoo Weekend Part 2

It's A Fact

That a lot of people especially Americans are having difficulty losing weight they have put on their body through out the years. Most of them are continue eating unhealthy foods unaware of their weight gain until they become obese. I have seen a lot of them here, everywhere I go overweight or obese people walking or in a motor chair. If they have started controlling their unhealthy habits and do a lot of exercise or maybe taking fat burners earlier they won't be suffering so many illnesses brought by obesity. I feel their suffering but I don't think they are taking steps to losing their unwanted fats toward a better healthy and nicer lifestyle.

Just as I thought we had everything we need for our exercise at home but when I see these exercise equipment on the internet pull up bars I was kind of surprised, really. This pull bars would best suited for men who really want to build endurance in their arms. This is interesting, I can try to do it too that if my husband will be interested in buying one like this. I would be happy if that is the case. It would also be a new great addition to the equipment we have and the question is, would it motivates us to exercise more? Hahaha funny, we keep buying things and use it a few times when they are new and later on we wind up letting them sit in one place and not bother to touch it anymore.

Zoo Weekend Part 1

We had a blast at the zoo yesterday. Take note, it was a free admission and free parking as well honoring the Police Officers and families at the zoo for three days that saved us 20 bucks or more if we were to pay both. It was a perfect day to be walking around the big zoo with a weather that cooperated so well, it was warm but not too hot with cool breeze weeewww that made our day so well spent.

..... above and below photos are of my husband and baby girl feeding the colorful birds. Jadyn didn't wanna stop feeding them but she ran out of bird food and her dada was already feeling her tiny body's weight on him.

...photo above is of me and the girl with the zebran behind us... I knew it was a zebra but I wasn't in my mind at that time for I kept saying "giraffe, geraffe, geraffe" to my baby and then I was kind of awaken by her when she finally uttered ZEBRA.. shame on me, what was I thinking?

The husband told me a very important change of schedule at his job when he came home from work last night. I really thought it was a serious bad news because of the way he said it to me. He told me like this "well I received a bad news when I went to work this morning....." and I exclaimed! I hate to hear the word bad, yah know?

Well, the city would have to do the cost cutting measures just so they can continue pay the city employees the right salary they deserve, they can only do this by eliminating the 10-8 shift which is the current schedule of my dear husband. He has two choices though once the new schedules will be implemented, either he works very early morning or night shift.

NO doubt what I want for him to work and so does he, there was no long discussions made last night as we both agreed right away that he needs to work very early in the morning and comes home at 4 in the afternoon. Of course, I don't want to be sleeping alone in bed during night time yah know?
